Mia wants to provide incentives for manufactures to bring new opportunities to the lower eastern shore.
Mia intends to aid businesses by providing improved transportation and commerce routes on the eastern shore. This would make it easier for Marylanders to travel, boost tourism revenue, and ensure money circulates locally and often. Furthermore, Mia will work to expand transportation locally and between major transit hubs across all of Maryland. By having a more connected Maryland, our state will reap major economic and human quality of life benefits.
Mia is a strong supporter of teachers unions. She believes in better compensation plans for workers, and recognizes the necessity of increasing pay for teachers. Further, she also recognizes the unique challenges our state faces in hiring and retaining top talent to work in our schools if we fail to accomplish these objectives. We must work together to make Maryland's education system world class.
Mia believes in better compensation plans for transportation workers, and supports the increase of pay and union density for delivery drivers who keep the flow of goods running. Further, Mia's infrastructure plans include modernizing our roads and bridges, creating thousands of jobs. We will need everyone from engineers and site surveyors to concrete finishers and brick layers. Mia wants every worker involved on these infrastructure projects to have their right to union representation recognized and respected. The Chesapeake Bay expansion project Mia has proposed will make Maryland an economic powerhouse for years to come.
